Fancy That Friday: Pretty Pink

I have always had a preference for the colors green and blue. My apartment is a palate of neutrals and verdant shades. Peek in my closet and the story is quite similar...until recently. For reasons unknown, I have recently gravitated toward pink. I think it all started with a pair of champagne colored flats. Then came the softest, most wonderful magenta t-shirt.  Followed by a blush camisole, a rose adorned tank top, carnation and gray plaid pajama pants, and fuchsia running shoes. Enjoy a rosy round-up!

Rose is a classic scent, but many rose perfumes venture into Meemaw land. Not this one. The combination of rose and bergamot oil is fresh and light.

 I've been on the lookout for a new summer weather pajama set. This menswear inspired set from J.Crew is a great balance of classic and comfortable.

Fancy That Fridays: Geometric Gems

The fickle Wisconsin weather has me fancying this cardigan.
The Dude would certainly approve of this sweater.  

This fabulous umbrella would keep me laughing at the clouds so dark up above.*

Delicate honey comb earrings.

 I know the fox is the decorative animal du jour, but these fox tea towels are simply splendid. 

Although cats are obligated to ignore any item specifically designated for their use, I think this bed may be snub resistant.

*Catch my super-nerdy reference here. I have fancied the athletic dancing and genteel demeanor of Gene Kelly since I was a kid. 

Scenes from My Weekend

1. Sun! Rain/sleet/snow/sideways-pellet-things for the last 12 days. Sun!!!

2. Moggers enjoying said sun.

3. Hunting for new recipes. 

4. Mo & I ventured to the place of all things magical and organizational.

5. After a successful Swedish conquest, we took on the Italians. Yeah, we ate at Olive Garden. Not ashamed in the least.

6. Getting back on track. Smoothie and lesson planning.

7. Did I mention the sun? Simandl spent most of Sunday perched in prime basking locations.

I am presently fancying:

this tote bag. Mmmm...polka dots. 

this dress. Coral + stripes = yes, please. 

these shoes. Granny chic. That's a thing, right?

this tea towel. Seriously thinking about purchasing one of these. Too cute to use, but certainly a textile worthy of hanging on the wall.

these cookies. Yes, they are labeled as holiday cookies, but chocolate, orange & rosemary are year-round in my opinion.

this jam. This tune has regular rotation on my running playlist. The new video? Fur hats, pirate ships, huskies, a tuba, and a living room pulled by a pick-up truck. What more could a girl want?

1. Zinefest with Mo.

2. Surfing and snuggles

3. Signs of spring. Finally!

4. Escape! Someone wanted to go to the market, or just tear ass around the hallways. Whichever.  

5. The last 6 days were windy, cold and rainy/snowy. Took advantage that the weather pushed forty and went sans socks to run errands. Another sign of spring- asparagus in my grocery bag! Nomnoms.

6. Alliteration in the kitchen: quiche, corn muffins & cuban black bean stew (not pictured).
